But that's just my opinion, I thought the original BFG km mud terrain was awesome off road. I have a friend who had some 40" mud grapplers and he said they were the best off road tire he's had next to the irocs he has now.

I'll keep that in mind for down the road. The irok seems to be a pretty popular choice around here.

So got the tires mounted yesterday. They look awesome! The stick out a little more and are way boxier. They actually run way smoother than my old km2's. They aren't to loud so far but you can clearly hear them over my exhaust. These stand a solid inch taller than the km2's also. All in all I'm very happy so far and I'm gonna be testing them out next weekend.

What size are they? They look a little too small for my liking but they are a badass tire.

They are 35x12.5 r17
They look small just because I've got the amount of lift that I do. I'm not lowering the truck tho because I plan to run a 37or maybe a 40" tire in the future. But I got about 65% off list price on the grapplers so I'm not gonna complain lol. Who knows if hey work out well I might get them again just in a bigger tire.

Hey man love you truck and planning a SAS of my own on my 98! Not sure if your still active on here or not but now that you have had this for some time do you regret doing leafs over coils? Also how was the ride with the Leaf Springs compared to the stock suspension before it went to pieces on you.

All in all great job!

Not active very often any more but i like to revisit the site from time to time. I no longer have the truck but as to your questions, no regrets going leafs over coils. It was a bit easier to get the swap done and back on the road again and my setup worked and rode so much better than stock but i did some rework to the rancho springs and had the fox shocks valved for the springs to make a better ride. knowing what i know now, if i were to do it over again I would go straight to coilovers front and rear but i also wouldn't DD the truck at that point.
