using d44 out of Wagoneer but have a few questions

So like the title says i have gone out and pulled a d44 out of an 87 waggy and am planning on doing a sas on my truck. I'm going to keep it cheap and run the stock waggy springs up front with is spring over axle to achieve my lift. I will be keeping my stock 8.8 in the rear with new gears of course :-P.

My questions are tho running the stock springs up front what kind of springs should I run in the rear? I've read in some places that the chevy 63 springs are a good choice along with the 52's but which is correct for a level ride? I don't want to have to run blocks lol

Also the waggy d44 has cast in spring under mounts. Is grinding off the top of that an ok way of then mounting my spring over swap?

I plan on starting this in the early spring and I'm sure ill have more questions before then. But this bit of help would be greatly appreciated. Also if someone knows of a good thread that uses this type of axle I would really like a good link to that lol

thanks guys, Ethan
