Shock upgrade and alignment ?

after the winter i am going to put on my new tires (31" uniroyal liberator a/t's on 15x7 crager soft 8's) will i need to get my truck aligned going from stock size tire to the 31" tires?

and whats is a decent off-road shock that i still cheap ?
or should i just get shocks at local auto parts store

the only time you will need an alignment is if you lift the truck. and why don't you get 15x8 wheels in case you decide to go bigger than a 31x1050 tire. and a good shock would be billstein they are expensive but from what i have heard there great.

I have those tires on my truck now. I have been a die hard Firestone user for years but got the Uniroyals with my wheels and I have to say that Im really impressed wtih how they do in snow, mud and rainy conditions. I just put Rancho RS5000 shoks on my truck. I see that a lot of people dont like them here but I think they do pretty good myself.

Get Bilsteins or go home...............LOL

I got mine from this seller over 4 years ago. The ride quality is really night and day over the stockers. http://cgi.ebay.ca/BILSTEIN-SHOCKS-F...ts_Accessories

When I was looking to upgrade my shocks it was a toss up between the Bilsteins or the Rancho 5000's. The Bilsteins were a few bucks more, but I'm glad I went with them.

I have to agree completely. I switched from 16 inch teardrops to the 15 inch alcoas and they look so good with the 31s on em.

get bilsteins my rangers are lifted and i had fabtech shocks on my 2wd and superlift shocks on my 4x4 and swapped them both to 5100 bilsteins and they both ride amazingly better my 2wd rides smoother then stock ( to me ) and my 4x4 is a bit stiffer due to t-bars maxed out but still rides amazing with the bilstein 5100's trust me with bilstein 5100's you cant go wrong!
