Check this rear shock hoop out

I was on tiregate.com checking out some ideas on how to make one when I came across the shock hoops in the bed. I love the clean look they have but is it just me or does it seem like there isn't enough support? It looks like the best design support wise. Tell me what you guys think.

shocks dampen the suspension movement, in this case they arent also holding up the truck like they would sometimes be in a link suspension so those mounts are sufficient.

Thanks for the input guys. I am trying to get ideas on different ways i could mount 16" shocks in the rear without having a big *** bed cage.

if you look closely those are fox bypass shocks. those mounts are way heavier duty that you think because i bet there is some custom rear suspension work under that bed. sick tire carrier tho

plus if you do it right youll hit the bump stops before you compress the shocks the whole way so you would almost never have to worry about that

in that case would it be possible to mount a cantalever setup and run your shocks horizontally?

this is a taco on dezert ranger that has the cleanest bed cage that i have ever seen. this is what i am going to base my design off of when i get to that point on my ranger.
