Which leaf is the AAL?

hey guys, i bought an 85 bronco 2, and im in the process of redoing the lift. the previous owner put an AAL in the rear leaves, and im wanting to remove it. how exactly can i figure out which one it is? will i be able to tell when i take the pack apart because it will be the most arched?

It's hard to say. I think you should be able to tell because it'll look different from the others. I think it should also be on the very bottom, on top of the overload if you have one.

The corners aren't radiused like the factory leafs are. At least I think the factory leafs are.

yup, usually the AAL doesnt have that tapered edge (looks like its corners are cut off) like the stock leafs do. Also it doesnt have any plastic pads for it so you might find one missing in that general area.

all right i figured it out, they were thicker then all the others, and were severely arched when the pack was apart. the guy had a long and short AAL in each pack...no wonder the dam thing rode like crap. i removed em and she rides like a dream
