How much will different tires increase height

I am thinking about putting 30x9.5x15 tires on my ranger, I cannot figure out how much height that will gain me. I know there is a list showing maximum tire sizes but I would like to know what the different tire sizes mean as far as difference from stock tires and giving a lift to my truck???

Thanks

A bigger tire will give you half of the difference in diameters between the old tire and the new tire in "lift." For example, if you go from a 28" tire to a 30" tire, the difference is 2" but your truck is only 1" taller.
