2.5" OEM Lift Blocks

Does anyone know the part number for the Ranger 2.5" OEM lift blocks? I have tried calling several Ford dealers but they are no help as the computer does not give them dimensions for the parts. Also, I have tried to find a wrecked vehicle at junkyard with no luck either.

Thanks! :)

You might look online with various suspension companies they may sell universal lift blocks in the size your looking for.. try rancho, fab tech, pro comp or the others and see if you can find somewhere to buy just a block from them.. you may have to call them though.

Thanks, but I would like to be able to retain the factory bump-stop setup.

You need lift blocks from a 2003 FX4 4x4 and not a level 2. A level 2 has a larger 8.8 which I believe causes the spring perches to be different.

I wanted to also mention the Ranger 7.5 and 8.8 (minus the level 2 31 spline axle) hardware is the same. You will need longer u-bolts too.

he should be able to walk into ford and show them on a truck they have on the lot and be like i want this.. otherwise im sure there are after market OEM kits for that truck.

his profile says he swapped axles for the 8.8. so he would need exactly what is on my truck.. i would guess go to ford and show em or go after market OEM.

My vehicle had the 8.8" axle from the factory. The problem is that the Ranger's now have 1.25" lift blocks, which is what I have. I am wanting to go to the 2.5" lift blocks from a previous year Ranger. When you talk to the dealer they have no way of telling you the size of the blocks for any part number. As a result, you have to be sure that the year or part number you give them is for the 2.5" blocks. This is a special order item meaning that no dealer stocks them and will not accept a return for if it is not the correct size.

Well I was looking on google and searched for them and i was able to yield some results you could try there. Otherwise, junk yard..

Call Tousley Ford 1-800-328-9552 and ask for Steve Powell, he will be able to verify. I pulled my 2.5" blocks off a 2005 FX4 Level 2.

Either way my original post is all the information he needs. If he has the 8.8 31 spline axle he needs some from a 2003 FX4 Level 2 if he has a 8.8 28 spline then he needs them from a 2003 FX4 Level 1. I don't know how else to explain it.

New ones have less than 2" of lift.

i know he can actually find what he is looking for aftermarket.. he should just look for an older year.. and find the blocks i have seen them looking on google actually.. but now that reread your post it does make more sense blonde moment =]

What I did was use a VIN from a 2007 Level II truck, gave it to the parts guy. Ford parts sucks, the system not the guys.
I used to have my receipt somewhere, it's MIA.

He can get them after-market but most of them won't have the factory bumpstops.

Good news, I was able to locate a wrecked 1998 Mazda B3000 4x4, which had the 2.5" blocks and u-bolts that I have been searching for. So, fortunately, I was able to keep from paying for the premium priced parts direct from Ford. Nevertheless, this still does not help any of you who may be searching as well. I will be sure to get pictures up of the updated truck with all of the latest goodies in the "snapshot" area.

Thank you for your help. :biggthump

I was actually on the verge of calling Tousley Ford when I received a phone call from a local junkyard who found a set of 2.5" blocks and u-bolts.

Fx4wannabe01 09-17-2008 03:10 AM

Doesn't have to be a Level 2 at all....my '01, tre's '01, Austin's '98, Cory's '07, mike's '01, jeremy's 02 all have the 2.5" block. XLT's, EDGE's, 4x4offroads, etc...

glad to hear you found 'em. Still trying to find trevor some 2" blocks.

Billy4x4 08-13-2009 10:01 PM

i know this is an old thread, but i figured id bump it instead of making a new one...'

just wondering if anyone has come across the part ## for the 2.5" blocks??

Fx4wannabe01 08-13-2009 10:43 PM

I could possibly take a peek at my spare set of blocks a little later.

Billy4x4 08-14-2009 05:37 AM

well shane, that would be greatly appreciated! ... if you could do without the set..
Let me know what you come up with!

Billy4x4 08-15-2009 08:38 AM

buckgnarly 08-15-2009 08:58 AM

Here's what is on my set of 2.5" blocks, from an 01 XLT 4.0 Supercab 4WD...

YL54 5598 DA BLUE --Drivers Side

YL54 5A918 DA PINK -- Pass side

They will be in the classified soon....

Novak48 08-15-2009 09:05 AM

My 2008 truck has the 1.25" lift blocks as well. Just wondering what a better combination for some added lift in the rear would be?

Belltech Shackles & 2.5" block swap or Belltech Shackles, AAL and stock 1.25" Blocks

NewShockerGuy 11-06-2015 03:26 AM

Does anyone know where to source the 1.25" lift blocks? Will this fit a 2001 XLT 2wd 7.5 rear end?

I can't source anything on ebay?

Thanks,
-Nigel

Damn that ebay ones is more expensive than I thought they would be...

Could I use factory 2" blocks with my rear end that is a 7.5? IE: If someone had it on the 8.8, would it fit my 7.5?

Are these specific to left/right side? And lastly how are they installed.. I found some how tos but they are other trucks which looks like they mount at the bottom of the axle?

https://www.parts.com/index.cfm?fuse...3-%20Liter-GAS

That site has what appears to be like 5+ spacers number 8 on the diagram... which doesn't help what model number is needed.
