splash on 35's

splash on 35's
So I bought this 96 I guess it is , 4x4 splash .
It has been over on it's side , on the pavement
broke both rear fenders off , and the head light and driver fender is also bent ...
So there id only one fender not damaged.
It has a 4.0 with 5 speed , manual transfer case .
I waas thinking of putting a set of these used tires
I have a set of swampers ...
35.9.50 15 .
This truck will never see long hiway drives , but will have to get to the wheeling
on it's own , no trailer .
I was thinking of just raising the body ( what is left ) to clear those tires .
Should work don't you think .
Would have to re-gear ...
Has 3:73 limited slip .
I'll cage the cab.
Probably build flat bed set up .
I am th
And get teh ground clearance I need .
inking tis way , getting as much articulation as I can , and keep the center of gravity as low as I can .And get the ground clearance I need.
I was thinking of using 3"or so lift springs in the front , and same in rear .
My STX super cab sits about 3" higher than the rest , and with the long arm front , I should be able to get it to flex .
Any thoughts are welcome .

Probably 10.5 -- he might be measuring tread width or there may be even narrower "wagon wheels" out there. I don't know of any with 9.5" section width either.

To answer you question, yes I've seen 35's on a Ranger with only a body lift, but that is stuffed in there and he does have rubbage issues. Granted this was on a 2003 Ranger so I know the older Rangers have a bit different suspension, but just something to be aware of.
You'll definitely want to go with some sort of Suspension lift as well if you want to get articulation out of it.
As for gearing, 3.73 could probably turn those tires, but you will probably want to go to 4.10 or even 4.56.

The rear fenders and the front , are pretty much toast .
I did in a way contradict myself , but I don't want to add a bunch of money into
a truck that is for trail use .
My thoughts on the lift , are the STX , or explorer spring packs for the rear , and F150 fronts , with a home made long arm set up .
I have a 94 STX super cab , and I was measuring from the ground to the bottom of the fender , and there is 35" , with 31" (advertised) tires .
These are an older set of tires , and they say 9.50 right on them .
I thought they guy was joking with me , but when we dug them out of the garage , they are as he stated .
I only want to raise the truck enough to get the best flex . as we have trees , limbs ...that cut down on the amount of roof clearance.
I would just cut the limbs , but there is quite a fine that goes with that ....
SO you see , there are tons of trails , in the forest but since they are not maintained , welll I think you understand what I am trying to do .

If I was going to put the money into a 6" lift , and all that goes with It , I would just do it to my good truckk , and then I would be afraid to twheel it .
