2006 Xlt 4x4 33's? Lift Options

I have a 2006 Xlt 4x4 and I just bought some 285/75/16 tires and some new wheels. I plan on lifting in the future. I was hoping to crank torsion bars some to fit tires until I get lift. Has anyone done this and fit 33's?

Also just wondering about any lift options besides the super lift

It's been done. Even with maxed out bars they will rub. Other than a super lift, only other option is a body lift

I run 33-10.5x15" tries and get no rubbing with 1.5" torsion bar lift. I did have to bend the front mud flap bracket a little to eliminate a slight rub at near full turn. I take it off road in some extreme condition and have not gotten any rub.

Your tires are wider than mine and you could get some rubbing with a torsion bar lift. I ran 32-11.5x15" tires for a while and got some slight rubbing with a lot of articulation. I think you could get by with 285/75/16 tires if you don't get crazy with it. Then again it depends on the new wheels as to width and back spacing. I use the stock Alcoa wheels so my comparison my not work with your wheels.
