3 inch body lift would be cheapest. If you dont want to go the body lift route, then 4 inch superlift would be your suspension lift. What size rims will you be running with your 33s?

tbars lift. either the free way, or some keys. you may have to trim about half an inch out of your valance but thats it.

It will ride a hell of a lot better if you use a body lift and leave the torsion bars alone. Cranking the torsion bars will make the ride rough, the suspension will top out easily, it sucks.

Most of us use the performance accessories 3" body lift.

If you want a suspension lift, superlift makes a 3-4" lift, but it just drops the torsion bars down and they hang well below the frame. You'll also need a new front driveshaft for that lift.

^x2

or if you have the $$$$ you could get the superlift and then a coil over conversion. That way you could throw your torsion bars, and the assembly, down a bottomless pit.

I would say a 3" Body Lift first. I know when the fever hits you can't stay the same for long. Then "I" would go with a coil over, you get get a little more lift outa that matched with a BL, and plus coils ride smoother than torsion bars.

If you're doing it just for looks get a BL

But I prefer suspension lifts, they look better (no frame gaps) and they're better for offroad.

I would browse pictures on here and decide after you see a bunch of different setups.

Suspension lifts for IFS trucks are all drop brackets anyway, no suspension travel improvement or ride improvement up front. You might gain a tiny bit of travel in back with the longer shocks but it wouldn't be much.
Departure and approach angle are pretty much the same between the two, as long as you move the bumpers up and hitch if there is one. Rocker panels are the same with both, both will fit the same sized tires. The only thing you gain with the suspension lift is having the frame higher which would help breakover angle, but that is pretty much useless if you have the big torsion bar drop brackets. The gap between the frame and body are not really noticeable with gap guards.

Don't get me wrong, I prefer suspension lifts as well. But he is looking for a cheap lift and he isn't going to lose much of anything by going with a body lift instead of suspension. $200-300 versus around $2000 for parts with the suspension lift with a new front driveshaft.
