3-4" drop suspension
6 Attachment(s)
I got extremely lucky and got a $1000+ kit for $250 on craigslist, I went to a few places and they wanted around $700 for just the I-beams. I got the beams, springs, shocks, and leaf springs. All I need are smaller tires up front(because the last owner decided to put oversized tires on even though it's a 2wd truck) and I'll be ready to install it

This is my first big step in making it a killer street truck, unless a ranchero happens to come my way, I'm going to keep building the truck until someone wants to buy it from me or trade for a ranchero |
Looks awesome. When are you gonna get around to installing it?
|
paycheck by paycheck I buy stuff for the truck, so next is new front tires then after that i'll have it installed, so atleast another month, then i gotta get it all aligned cus it acts weird on the freeway
|
damn good find!
post up some pics when you get it all installed! |
If you ever want to haul anything in the bed I wouldn't put those leaf springs on, I'd do a flip kit
|
Yeah for sure I'll get pics when it's done, also I have to remember to take before&after measurements / pics
This truck wont haul anything, we'll use my brothers ram for that |
Im looking for the I beams for my new mazda/Ranger If you know of any please let me know I will buy them... good fined....
|
djmsuspension.com is local for me, I've heard good things about them and that's where I would have bought the suspension if I didn't find this on cl, but belltech makes a good kit aswell and they're a bigger company, but I think they might be more expensive because of that
|
awesome score
wish I could find that local, id be all over it |
I havent posted here in a while, but here's what's new... we found out that the beams are for a 93-95 ranger, so I have to hit up a junk yard and try to find spindles and hope it all fits together, does anyone know if 93-95 spindles will fit on an '87? I'd rather find out now than go pick them.
And thing's that I've done or have happened to the truck.... in the last few months I've had 2 flats on the freeway, I blew out a freeze plug and almost killed my engine trying to get home, replaced the freeze plug. rewired the negative battery connection. Bought an 18x9" Saleen Mustang rim to make sure the bolt pattern was correct, and I'll buy the other 3 in a few months, those are going to be wrapped in yokohama 275/35zr18 drag slicks on all 4 corners, will keep them like that until I can take the front rims in to get shortened about 2" and machined down to fit around the hub I will try to be more active on these forums, but I've just been way too busy oh yeah, also I'm thinking instead of doing a 302/347 we MIGHT do a big turbo 2.3L SVO =) 20-30 lbs of boost, so it'll be a lighter and more powerful engine |
how exactly do you shorten a rim?
|
cut a section out of the middle of the rim
|
so your not shortening it you narrowing it
|
wow
