Shocks and Lift
Hi. I need shocks. I have my t bars cranked just to level out the front. The problem is that the stock shocks like to pull out of their mounts. Im going to need a new set of hardware soon along with shocls. I was trying to find longer shock but havent found any. I just need something thats and inch longer untill i lift the truck. My buddy also told me to get hyperflex bushings. He had the same problem and I guess it helped keep th shocks in place. Also whats up with body lifts? I heard dont do it. I do go offroading and sometimes catch some air. And lastly, what do u think of the RCD lift kit. I like it cuz it doesnt drop anything to lift the trucl like the superlift kit. Any info frome anyone will be greatly appreciated. Thanx

Your factory econotruck suspension is not designed for jumping. The front shocks are the rebound stops and they will not take that kind of abuse for very long. At the very least, you need limiting straps as the rebound control. Even so, you will probably continue to have trouble with the stock suspension if you jump it.
Longer front shocks will not change the above situation and may cause the stock front CV joints to bind. I was only able to get about 1/2" more rebound travel with mine before that became a problem.
Slightly longer rear shocks would be OK, but then you have to watch the compressed length. If the shocks bottom before the snubbers, you will damage the shock and/or the mounts.

So i again the shock pulled out. I have had Ranch RSX shocks since i first put up this post. This is getting really annoying and i dont know what to do. I lost both upper and lower shock bushings and i dont want to have to buy a new shock just to get the bushings. Energy suspension doesnt make a shock bushing kit and the dealer doesnt sell the bushings separate from the shock. Arrrrg!!!!!
And know im not jumping 20' in the air but i do get the tires off the ground a bit.

My friend had the same problem with his T100 so he started using the washers from the sway bar and has had no problem. The washer looks a lot stronger but are a little smaller than the washers that come with the shocks.
Well I hope i get everything fixed before our trip to Ocotillo Wells next Month. Crap, I might not be able to offroad.
