4wd lift kit on a 2wd edge
4wd lift kit on a 2wd edge
is there any way to install a 4wd lift kit like an rcd lift on a 2wd edge? could you reuse your old spindles or fabtech spindles? i really see no problem installing the lift on a 2wd accept the spindles..
rcd deleted the spindles. but they make a rcd for the 2wd. u could go to fabtech or doetech (sp) n get 3" spindles. then get a AAL plus chevy lowering shackles for the rear to lift the rear n ur good for 33s then slap a bl on it n good for least 35-37s. 37s i do believe might have to trim some of the valance tho
i already have fabtech spindles and alls but i was thinking about getting a 4 inch rcd lift made for 4wd edges but im not sure if i can make the fabtech spindles work and i dont know what problems i will run in to im wondering if anyone has ever done this or not

It will not work because kits like that drop the location of the lower control arms, and in turn your lift spindles would not be long enough to reach the lower arms. It has been discussed that the trailmaster 4wd kit would work because the kit doesn't replace the spindles with longer ones, it just uses balljoint spacers on top of the factory knuckles. The concept should work on the Trailmaster kit only, but there are no garauntees because no one has actually done it. You can be the guinea pig though.
