4x4 lift kit
4x4 lift kit
hi y’all! I’ve finally decided to get a lift for my 2007 4x4 xlt. But I need help with a couple technical aspects. My questions are:
im getting 3 inch keys and 2 inch rear shackles.... however I haven’t been able to find any shocks labeled as “extended lift shocks” so how do I know the shocks I purchase will work?
I want 33’s but will 12.5 width be too wide? I have 15 inch rims btw
would 33s be 275 in the other form of tire size? Or 285?
Thank you!
and if anyone’s had experience with 3 inch torsion keys let me know your feedback

Shocks should have listed in the product description two numbers: length extended and length collapsed. If you figure out the length your
factory shocks are at full extension then just add 3 inches to that and buy accordingly.
As for tires sizes, you can't compare 33 inch to 275 mm unfortunately. 33 is the tire height in inches and 275 is the tires width in mm. You
can have a 275 tire that's 28 inches tall or a 265 that's 32 inches tall. The number you need to worry about is the aspect ratio, especially
since you're running 15 inch rims. This forum has a tire calculator under tool. That's how I figured what size tire I wanted. Just find a few
different tire sizes you want and enter those in until you land on one that'll fit and work for you.
Good luck.
