Brand new to the forum I apologize in advance if this is the wrong place to ask but. I just welded a 7.5 diff yes ik stupid don't come at me the axle shaft obviously snapped doing a donut whatever. I wanna put a 8.8 obviously and it's going to be welded I already sourced a 8.8 28 spline from a 4.0 ranger does anyone have any experience with a stock welded 28 spline 8.8 and if so did it hold up did the shafts snap am I just screwing myself over. Gotta make a decision whether im welding it or not as im getting the axle in within the next like 12 to 16 hours. Yes i know a spool and c clip elimination is best dont have the moneh for that right now and the way im going to weld the diff its going to allow me to still switch later down the line sooooo please help this is probably drug out. Thanks

 

A 7.5 and a 8.8 both use the exact same axle shafts.
