4/5 Drop Kit ordered

Well I dropped the money on the table and bought the 4/5 drop kit from Summit. Was cheaper than the one from Stylin and it includes shocks with it. I also picked up some camber bolts.

DJM-KS3098-4-5 Lowering Kit, 4 in. Front, 5 in. Rear, Ford, Ranger, 2WD, Kit $709.95 1 $709.95

IEC-29000 Wheel Alignment Kit, Eccentric Bolts, Ford, Explorer/Explorer Sport Trac/Ranger, Front, Each $24.39 1 $24.39

Not too bad.... Just sucks it won't be in till late next week and I get underway on next Friday for a week.... Now to just find some 17" wheels....

No you shouldn't need a notch but I do believe you need to do something with the bump stops. Good thing you went with the 4/5

T-55

Remove the 3 screws on the gas cap, disconnect the light harness under the tailgate, unbolt the 6 torx screws and remove the tailgate. The bed is heavy as hell, removing the tailgate will eliminate some weight.

If I remember correctly, there's a grounding strap or two also.

i did the 4/5 on my 95 and i only had an inch of clearence with my rear axle and the frame notching it would be a good choice u can get a bolt on notch but id just go with a weld on notch very easy to do i bag trucks so i have a little bit of knowledge when it comes to lowering a ranger
