96 2.3 flareside suspension tune 2wd
This is my DD and my third ranger, one was rolled and the other rear ended and totaled by a drunk driver. I love subarus and ford trucks, I am looking to get my ranger to handle to its full potential, low cost (all my money is going to my subaru build).
Suggestions appreciated As of now I am running, - KYB GR2s, - Rousch Rear Sway Bar /washers added for better movement - 1 inch wheel spacer on the rear, - stock tires, - hawk pads up front Parts from my other trucks I want to add: - Rousch front sway bar from my 02 2wd, looks different than my current front sway might have to make endlinks to get it to work. - 8.8 disc assembly with hawk pads Thinking about: polyurethane leaf spring bushings leaf spring shackles lower less than an inch, maybe front springs lower than inch, low cost though tires eventually Ma thoughts suggestions thanks wes |
nobody likes a daily driver that handles alright? lol
my the two rangers before were lifted, one had the 2wd fabtech, the other 4wd was torsion key and add a leaf |
Its a ranger not a race car.
If you want the best ride get good tires, coilovers, lower it and then drive it. Or buy a sports car. |
i like to tinker with suspensions be it trucks, cars, motorcycles mainly supermoto bikes
I have a rally car. 94 legacy 2.2turbo with 4.44forester xt drivetrain, sti springs and struts, 4 pistons front calipers, ap racing pedal box with titlon dual piston manual brakes, no brake booster, abs/a/c, delete, sti bell downpipe, straight three inch pipe to a magnaflow race muffler, interior is gutted, no radio. sparco seat with 5 point harness, srt4 msd coil pack with magnacore ignition wires. 02 wrx rack and steering column |
Tires. Nice wide tires.
Who says a truck cant handle like a sports car? |
yeah man i agree, a little toe in adjustment on the front, there was a truck in the grassroots racing issue this month that threw down a badass lap time hahah.
I am going to stay away from wider tires for the winter for now |

little update, put two inch wheel spacers on the back, and big metal washers on the rear sway to help it move around only did this because i was already had the tank down for the front leaf mount i was replacing. moved the skinny snow tires to the front.
