Icon9 More suspension travel dilemma....

Alright guys, havent posted in a while, been soo busy with everything.

A while ago i posted a thread on getting more suspension travel, I talked to someone about getting a modified 5.5 setup, and it would have been around $1,000. Perfect. However, he doesnt have time until after New Years to do it, and I'm looking to take a big trip to the desert a couple days after Christmas, and it doesn't work out time-wise.

Does anyone have any other suggestions on relatively affordable setups?
I'm talking:
New Extended A-Arms
2.0 Shocks
Camburg (or something comparable) Coils

I was looking at Camburg's setup, but it's just too much money. After installation, it comes up to be about $2,000, and that doesn't even include 2.0 shocks.

Please help ASAP guys!!

do you guys think it would be pointless to get a Fabtech 2.5" Set with new UCA's, and then put a 2.0 Resi Shock in there and find someone to do it?

so you have stock uppers now im assuming. what shocks do you have?

ive heard the fabtech 2.5 kit increases travel SOME, but i dont know how much. i wouldnt imagine more than an inch if that. but again i dont know.

for the money i think you should be able to do better, even in your time frame.

check classified ads on dezertrangers.com and there are lots of fabricators over there.

and if i had that kinda cash do you think i would be running around on a retrofitted RCD kit? lol

even thoe u get a good kit up front, your rear end will suffer,ur rear end wont be able to handle the stuff your front end will..ur kit would be pointless

either way,a-arm kit or i beam, whats the point in being in a hurry to get a front end kit when ur truck wont be able handle good without ur rear end being set up so it takes as much abuse and travel as ur front end......

hey but it will look nice..sorta,because once u get extended a arms ur tire will stick past ur fender or right under it,so when u go offroading ur tire will hit ur fenders,so u also have to take thatunder consideration...unless u already have glass up front
