Leveling Idea-any thoughts?

Anyhooo--I've cranked the bars as much as I can stand, threw in a 1" bodylift a couple of weeks ago and I've got the height about where I want it with the 265-75R16s-BUT it still has too much rake for my liking--the BL really intensified the nose-down attitude that we're all trying to get rid of. I got to thinking a while back-"what about lowering the back to level it out?" If i could lose about 1-1/2", it would be about perfect. Seeing as how the '08+ all sit lower, I crawled under the back of my truck and measured the blocks between the leafs and the axle--about 2-1/2". Then I drove to the local Ford store, and would you look at that-they have a '10 4x4 XLT sitting on the lot. Grabbed my trusty Stanley Powerlok, crawled underneath, and wouldn't you know it-blocks measure about 1-1/4". I JUST FOUND A WAY TO LOSE 1-1/4"! OH CRAP-HERE COMES A SALESMAN! So, 45 minutes passed, got home, hopped onto Tasca's website and ordered 2-each of the following:
#8L5Z5598A Leaf Spring Axle U-bolt Spacer
#8L5Z5705A U-bolt kit
Should be here next week-I'll keep you posted
I think it's gonna work like a charm.

Good Idea, however why would you lower to level?

It makes sense but I personally am not a hugefan of the leveled look. I want my truck to have a slight rake. But I also usually have stuff in the bed

CRAP!! I almost posted a "wanted to buy" in the classified, but I got a pretty good deal through Tasca--They list for like $35 a side plus $13 for the u-bolts, Tasca sells them for around $23 a side plus $8 for the u-bolt kit plus $10 freight. It should still have a slight rake when it's done, but not as bad as it is now. We'll see what happens.
