What do you guys think about the $150 Lifetime alignment from Firestone? is it worth it?

Ive done it before on my trucks. Only snag is you have to wait every (i think) 5,000 miles before you can get it aligned again under the lifetime agreement.

The other snag is it doesn't cover an alignment with new tires.

I have it on the wife's Escape. 3 alignments and it's paid for, so I figured what the hell.

then how can it be a lifetime alignment? Plus, they did not document what type of tires i have.

I don;t go to firestone, for anything. I had them do my front brakes once, but had to bring it back three times before they finally put them back together properly.

Ive heard that they wont do it for lifted trucks since they consider them off road vehicles (ie they need alignments more often)

I recommend it if you plan on getting frequent alignments. I especially like how they look over everything every time you bring it in.

That might be a local store policy, I've had it done numerous times a couple/few thousand miles apart (especially after offroading etc.).

I was told the opposite, plus they don't document the tires in anyway...

I bought the alignment the night I got my new tires and did the t-bar crank, no problems... I know its not a "real" lift but most people see oversize offroad tires + t-bar crank and think its lifted. They said they do alignments for lifted trucks, as long as it's nothing excessive... when I asked them to clarify they basically said that if its a kit that can be bought, and not some crazy custom suspension, and can fit on the alignment machine, they will do it.

I've got Lifetime Alignments on both of my trucks. Yup, even the Ranger. They don't care how often I come in either. It's worked out pretty well.

Must be a States thing. Up here in Canada, I called around, everyone thought I was nuts when I asked if they offer a lifetime alignment.

firestone treated me good. had no problems with them. it's probably just the employees at that Firestone. Also, i have bigger springs in the front and bigger than stock tires and they gave me the lifetime alignment.
