air adjustable shocks

Looking at putting a set o adjustable air shocks on my 05 Ranger Edge. To help stabilize truck when pulling our trailer. Is this a good idea or?

I would look at overload springs instead.
The point of either air or springs is to keep the truck "level" as load in the rear increases and decreases.

The air does this but requires you to add or release air to do this, often not convenient.

Overload springs get stiffer as you increase the load weight so height of truck doesn't change much.

I would look at both options and decide what fits your situation/use the best.

Stabilizer is different in that it prevents swaying, if the swaying is caused by the weight shift from front to rear wheels then leveling the truck will help alot, but an additional sway bar on the rear axle can help as well.

I have to replace the shocks anyhow as I have 200000 miles on my truck. I don't pull the trailer that often but was thinking of the air shocks to help with the ride.
