Its been a while and I don't remeber anything special about installing shocks, but is there anything complicated about changing the shocks on a 2006 2wd standard height? I did a replacement on a 1996 Toyota before and it was a piece of cake. Is there any tricks of the trade to make it easier on me? Thanks for your time, Mike

I found out how to change the shocks................Pep Boys 56.00 for all 4, I think I'll break out the check book instead of the wrenches at this price.

 

it'll take you 30 minutes to do it yourself..

 

I'll take a look at it before I take it up there, do the front shocks just drop out of the bottom when you undo the bolts, or do you have to jack up the truck and manuver them out?

if your strong enough, which you should be.. you just un bolt them and compress them enough to slide it out, bolt the bottom on, then line up the holes and let it shove itself back into the hole, for the front that is

the back, i would say connect the top and just kinda line up the bottom and let it go, you're probably going to have to fight it a little to get the holes to line up just right on the axle but its not that bad.


and look at it this way, if you cant do it you'll have a nice fun bouncy ride to pepboys

 

front is cake like 99ranger4x4 said, but the back is a ***** when your on your back trying to compress it into place
