Help need to lift front!

When you say "it didn't work", do you mean you ran the torsion bar adjuster bolts all the way in and you didn't gain any ride height? If so, this is an indication that your torsion bars are worn. You can replace the torsion bars and get your 1.5" or so of adjustment back.
Your only other option for a front suspension lift is the 4" superlift, which is quite expensive.
Stay away from aftermarket lift keys or "leveling" keys.

How much of a lift? Around 1" is pretty standard depending on which torsion bars you have.
One being in farther than the other is because of the ranger lean; all the heavy stuff is on one side of the truck and wears one tbar more than the other.
The bolts should thread all the way in until the head bottoms out.
