Hi, there is a thing that recently came to my attention, I'm considering replacing the front shocks on my stock 1995 Ranger splash 3.0l, the ones that have (not original) are bumpy and the ride is very rough. but looking under the truck I notice that both axle arms are too close to the frame and rubber stops, like less that 1" before hitting the rubber. This is normal? should I be worrying for saggy springs instead?
I also measure the front vs rear height, there is about 2" of difference, front being lower. the difference seems to be normal.
I will appreciate any input.
Many thanks and best regards.
Thanks Dewey for your reply, my thoughts exactly.
I have been researching on the net but canīt find any reference about the front wheel axle clearance or height for my particular truck, also been looking for other rangers locally but all are of different heights and different shock/spring configuration.
Most of the information I found point to saggy coil springs, also the camber on the front wheels are a little negative (can be seen by eye if you look for it), seem to all point to the coils, but then why there is so little difference in the height of the front vs rear wheels? there is a possibility that the rear leaf spring can be saggy too?
