Axle Wrap

Can someone explain to what the hell axle wrap is? In detail too.. I think it's the axle's movement when accelerating??

would axle rap cause the drive shaft to make a thud noise when going from stop to start and moving to a stop? my truck did this but then i pulled the stock blocks out and just left the AAl in and it stopped. i would like to put the blocks back in and maybe get traction bars would this help?
