well you never ridden in one and can see what they can do then, lets just say Im locked all the way around and go over stuff and though places a ranger cant without tearing the truck to pieces such as you have.

I respect the work you did to your truck and some of your knowledge but just because you have a sas'd ranger doesnt mean your top dog and have the ultimate offroad vehicle.

YOU are not part of those I term ' Inbreds '. I was presenting an example that has happened over-and-over.

Every thread on this site where someone posted pic's of their lowered truck.. some ' Inbred ' had to comment. Hell, it even happened on here, epically owned for it too.

So.. what happened to all those lowered folks? They LEFT.

I caught up with a few of them.. they won't come back to this site. ' Too many haters and redneks '.. Thus, why I'm giving the ' love ' back to all the inbreds frum these hare partz! Git-r-dun!

Maybe I can drive some of the lifted idiots out of here so those guys will come back. Would be ' fitting ' no? ' Turnabout is fair play ' according to some well renounced and praised literalists.

Not too many of those whom perpetuated that ' hate ' can really take it from the lowered guy whos proved his worth. I wonder why is that?

"If you and your father walked to school together because you were both in 3rd grade, you might be a rednek. If your family tree has no branches.. you might be a redneck.. If your truck is filled with parts from a ' bolt-on-buddy ' catalogue, you should consider maybe not mocking that lowered guys ride and STFU." Theres a quote for someones sig!

haha nice

07Ranger 10-27-2008 10:46 AM

what made you choose to do a panhard bar if its not going to turn the same way, is it even adjustable? i would rather have a watts link set up then a panhard bar.

turning one way and then turning the opposite will feel completely different

has anybody ever done a 3-link and a watts link on a ranger, that would be the best setup i could think of for handling turning both ways. it can be fully adjustable so you could set it up the way you wanted it to feel.

ns_red7 10-27-2008 11:03 AM

This thread maked me lawlz.

Lifted = redneck
Lowered = ghey

So if I had a ranger that was laying frame until I hit the switches to raise it up 20"... all custom fabbed, would that make me a gay redneck?

Why do so many people care so much about making others feel worse, or less good what have you, just because they are different or of another opinion.

I love lifted trucks, and plan to superlift mine at some point. When it's DD days are over. I would love to have a (dont hate me!) 89 2wd reg cab 5 speed s10 to tub and create a straight line monster v8 power rod. Slammed to the ground.

I also realize that neither of these trucks makes an ideal DD. Lowering a vehicle here means limiting where you can go (all the roads are 'crap' to put it mildly) and lifting one decreases fuel economy, increases tire costs etc.

If you want your rig to be better at something, and spend $$ and time/effort to change your truck so it performs better at what you use it for, why does this cause people to want to flame on ...?

You all need to drive electric type cars like the rest of those who think they're better!

my rear tires cost like 180 a piece, i dont think that is cheap by any means, a BFG 33 AT cost less. so lifting your truck decreases fuel economy so does engine modifications. i had a lifted truck and now im lowered, i find myself driving faster then i did when i was lifted. so you cant really say if your lifted you get the worst mpg. its all opinions

The S-10 Killer 10-27-2008 01:22 PM

thopught about lowering my truck, but everyone i know has cars they lower so i wanted to be diffrent but nice ride D.....

woody99stpsde 10-27-2008 01:34 PM

either way...up or down they both have their perks...but i agree wit cody...time for some vids of this thing...btw sick truck...

It's not so much opinion as common sense. Lo-pro tires can be spendy but in general I think you would find them cheaper than 35+ inch tires.

As well, driving habits aside, the lower truck should have a somewhat better aerodynamic profile due to how low it is.

Now like I said this is not tried and proven fact that I can back up, but it does seem to make lots of sense.

BTW $180 per tire isn't bad. www.discounttire.com has 265/75 16 bfg all terrains for $188 a piece. Old style bfg mts are $216. 35x12.50 15 inch mud terrain km2s are $232. Tire prices are largely related to rim size as well.

I dunno. I run a 255/55/17 series tire. Either Goodyear RSA or BFG KDW/S. Both run about 250$ a tire

Honestly.. I've ripped about 400lbs off its original weight. Its JUST under 3100lbs and when a strong crosswind hits.. theres not much holding it down.

Not bad.. 200ish a piece.

I run a 28inch tall tire as I LIKE being able to use this as a ' truck ' still. I COULD throw on something with no sidewall but.. It totally defeats what it is.

When it stops raining and hailing and drizziling snow.. I plan on tearing up an old, unused malls parking lot.

Video maybe?

D. 10-27-2008 08:46 PM

3 Attachment(s)
Problem with making the rear so damn stable.. the front takes more force. Having bad ball-joint angles to begin with and not so much upward travel.. they don't last long... like 3 months maybe?

Drivers side..
Attachment 186205

Passengers side..
Attachment 186206

My solution :)
Attachment 186207

I have to finish welding the bottoms together but I have EVERYTHING I need to re-do the whole front. Spindles, Rotors and Calipers from SSBC, Berrings, Seals, Abs Sensors, Uppers, Lowers, Coils, Shocks, Rack and Rod-ends... 2 Boxes of 70,000/inch rods ( Going with the stick welder for best penetration, I don't think a mig will really hold as good/strong ).

I plan on taking the grinder to the whole front of the frame and cleaning it all out while I'm in there. I'm thinking with Brian, Scott or Daves help.. I could have it all done inside of 3 hours MAX. Everything is already broken free as nothing on the front end outside of the rack has been there longer then.. 6 months without being taken off and repaiured/modded/adjusted.. F'ed up..

The drivers side is presently ' sitting there '. The ball came OUT of the socket when I lifted the front end up to see what was loose/making noise. I managed to set the truck back down and get the ball back into the socket on the drivers side.

im gunna kinda butt back into the earlier conversation. First off "city boy" jus cause your trucks lowered doesnt make it any better than anyone elses. And no im not a f**kn inbread so don't even try with an awesome comeback. everyone has a different way of tricking out there truck. I myself like any ranger. So why hate on someone that likes the look of a 3"bl and a 33"s. Not a damn person hated on you painting ur underbody red or doing some "badass custom work" on ur truck. Your a very stereotypical person. VERY STEROTYPICAL!!

07Ranger 10-27-2008 09:19 PM

r u serious guys, you need to take this to pms, ****ing childish

Make sure you know the WHOLE history of that conversation or you will look like a fool..

First off "city boy"
LOL, ok, Game on! Hes #2 in the example category folks. This one is going to be fun :)

Your not an inbred? You sure?

If you had to ask that question, you should have LEARNED TO READ first. You should have a comprehension of why such was said. Instead, you decide to try and ' return the hate ' by calling *me* stereotypical. Your own words -->

Not a damn person hated on you painting ur underbody red or doing some "badass custom work" on ur truck. Your a very stereotypical person. VERY STEROTYPICAL!!
Hey n00b.. where did the 3 or 4 bagged guys go? Apparently in all of your typical inbreded-ness, you missed the point of why I stated such.

You are ' Example #2 ' of what I spoke of earlier.

A LOT of people hated on those lowered trucks, your ' simple ' person wasn't even on this site when it happened. Its been happening for the last 2-3 years. So you just ' butted in ' to a conversation you knew NOTHING about, being ignorant of it all, and represented EXACTLY the type of ' inbred ' I spoke of.

Your RIGHT, not a damn person hated on me.. Ask yourself ' why? '. Could it be I have a much larger clue then 90% of you n00bs? Could it be that I might have met a couple hundred folks of these forums? Could it be that some of those ' inbreds ' knew they had it coming for all the trash they started on the bagged/lowered guys and they knew I would make them look pretty bad if they started their trash on this thread ( Theres already been 1 example.. You just made the second ). Could this thread still be ongoing as the Mods/Admins Know that the ' favor being returned ' might be a good thing? Have you given ANYTHING thought about whats been said or doesn't it matter so long as you ' can have my say in things ' and make a fool of yourself.

Do you LIKE being such an example? Do you like being the tool of idiocy?

' City boy '? Sheeeeyyyiittt! Whos doing the stereotypical hating now! ROFLMAO!

Go back and read the WHOLE thread. Understand what was said, Then come and tell me whos ' Stereotyping ', Inbred.

Better yet, find which members I speak of that aren't around anymore, The ones that were posting on here being hated on by idiots like yourself ' Hick '.

Better yet, Lets talk of those ' Stereotypes ' you proclaim. You brought such up.

So.. there used to be this crowd of people whom lifted their trucks. Whenever a lowered truck thread started, they all came like the inbred mafia and started their trash talking. It looks like its happening again, right now, and your ' it '.

You don't have a clue as to what that conversation was even about, but ' Dammit! I have a right to say something! '.. Yes you do, even if it makes you look stupid, idiotic or like that ' inbred ' type I pointed out earlier ( Which you seem to be fitting in to the category of rather well ).

So ( Is it ok if I call you #2? as in example #2? F-it, Honorary title for ya, n00b, consider yourself ' Graced '. ), Without knowing much, yet having to feel an urge to defend something you know nothing of, Would people believe you to be closer to a lemming or an inbred? ( Honest question ).

Do you have a ' more clear picture ' of Why I stated what I did? If you have noticed, even those earlier that had ' problems ' with such have all of a sudden ' dropped it '. You didn't catch on to that either?

Its been said, most inbreds are ' slow '. Is this true?

I don't want to be ' mean ' to you, n00b. I can understand your ignorance of the situation as you haven't been around to see most of what went on. Its a very acceptable excuse and I wouldn't hold a thing against you for it. BUT, be warned.. If your going to run your mouth, expect others to do the same.

Words of advice for you.. Be educated, be aware, and most of all.. be informed of what your speaking of before you comment.

Friends now?

PS: I'm the biggest prick on this site, hands down. Even my ' friends ' here have stated they wanted to knock me out on many occasions.

Yep. :sly:

My thread. I can handle all the haters without any issues. I'm a ' big boy ' whom has Iron-Clad feelings. No harm, no foul. Doesn't bother me in the least bit. Its good entertainment along with a pinch of pictures, knowledge and laughs.

Folks wondered why I never posted pics of my truck.. Its kinda obvious why.

Theres 2 inbred examples thus far, almost had a third. How many do you think are lurking and just ' waiting for the right time ' to jump in here with a ' quantity ' of idiocy?

They want vids now? I dunno.. theres no mud and dirt roads or anything.. Think anyone would appreciate it? Look at that last persons response as an example.

I'm bringing it all to a ' head ' and I'm gonna ' pop that zit '. When the inbreds are tired of looking like idiots, maybe THEY will feel the need to leave like those they drove off this site when they had their laughs.

They really DON'T have to say anything. How did Pastfinder/Frank ( I think? ) say it before.. ' Sometimes its better to look stupid sitting there then to say something and prove it '.

00stepside 10-27-2008 09:48 PM

ok i want to see a video who cares who likes what... thats what the post was about is someone working on there truck and wants to share what they did, other than wash it. so light up those tires.

sad to say 95% of folks wouldnt appreciate it ... im sure you guys remeber when TGD posted some vids of her bfs yota xrunner having fun.

back to the whole commerical plates thing, in california they title trucks as commerical ... so for example my truck is plated 6B##### while cars in my state are plated 6MFK### just a difference in number and lettering scheme, but our plates dont actually say "commercial" on them.
