ball joints shot?

I've noticed my 99 4x4s camber is way off... it's eaten up the inside of the front tires pretty bad (time for replacement). But before I get new tires, I want to fix my camber issue. I'm assuming this means my balljoints are shot??? Is there any way to check em? And would it be the lowers too, or just the uppers?

I know on other trucks, you can jack it up and yank on the wheel to feel play... I've done that and dont feel any which has me a little confused. I'm thinkin maybe a pry bar to check for the play???

You got it. Jack it up and use a bar to try to pry up the wheel. If you have play it may be you ball joints, wheel bearing or tie rods.
