I have no brakes????
#1
I installed the 3.5" Fabtech spindle lift this weekend the lift is great, it made a huge difference in the truck, but there is a problem when my wheel is turned I lose my brakes, but when the wheel is straight they work fine, have any ideas why????? (No hoses are crimped when the wheel is turned)

Is the brake line being stretched out, cause i know the brake lines, are like already being put at max leangth. They could be crimping themselves when you turn...And you dont know it, cause it make look like thier not bein crimped, but what about away from the rotor itself, where you cant see..

yeah when I installed the lift I noticed that if I turned the will the brake lines were stopping it from turning all the way, so there is a screw taht attaches the brake line to the frame, I took that off so taht the line had more romm to stretch. I am guessing that it just doesnt have enough room to stretch. Maybe I need a longer brake line????

No, your all wrong here. Common problem with the spindles is when installed without the Fabtech supplied steering stops (which double turning radius) the brake caliper smacks on either the stock steering stop or the lower A-arm. You can pull the stock stops off and it should be cool for a while, but eventually the spindle hits the a-arm enough where the stop used to be and wears into the steel. Once this happens, the calipers are again smacking on the a-arm and forcing all the fluid out of the caliper and upstream towards the master cylinder...

Yeah I know what you are talking about with the steering stops, they did give tehm to me, but I did'nt put them on because the directions were not that clear about were exactly they go, and the directions said something about have to drill new holes in teh steering stop and the lower control arm but I dont realy know where. If I put those on will it solve my problem???
