if you are going to be airing down at all while wheeling then i would run 8" wide wheels. bead falls off 10" too easy |
Well I sold the cougar today for $4000 so I have some fun money now. If I do a suspension lift i might take the BL off until my tires wear cause there brand new. My goal is for the SL, BL, new rims, and new tires. Not all at once, 1 at a time.

I have basically the same setup as the truck above my ride quality is fine. I have 35x12.50 MTZs on a 15x10 rim
And it may be just me but after the SL was installed it seemed like my truck had a better turning radius. |
Im not that worried about ride quality, as I am turning radius. I do live in Michigan (pot hole capital of the US.)

also G'sevo had his 15x10 and 33's on the dunes at 10psi all weekend and no issues.. if you plan on rock crawling yes i would agree but the driving 90% of people do your fine plus the driving josh does he will be fine.. 12.5" wide tires on 8" wide rims for most driving do not wear correctly |

I got my options open I guess. Im gonna start pricing everything and see what I feel like doing. I need to put a L/S in the rear to.
|
I also have a double lift (superlift and a body lift) and it rides fine. Like everyone said above go with 35's when you buy new tires.
|
would you want to sell your 33's?
|
did you have to regear with the 35s? how is the mpg different from 33s to 35s anyways? a jeep friend insists it would be 10mpg tops, heh
also, 33s and a superlift look okay or be awkward? |

^^^Same thing as bill in last post....about 18mpg highway and stock 4.10's and 5spd manual.
I too have the 4" superlift and 3" bodylift and 35's w/ 4.10's. Added #1 bars and removed the sway bar. Superlift front shocks, Bilstein 5100's in the rear. Rear lift consists of stock 2.5" block, Short AAL, and 2" chevy drop shackles. Rides great...i'd even say it rides better than when i purchased it stock w/ 30k on the clock! |
