another torsion bar question

last week you guys told me there's no way other than bags to drop a ranger edge 4/5 in. so now I'm wondering is there any way I can reach a better handling stance? I've heard sway bar in the rear makes a big difference and also wider tires. Does anyone know how wide you can go on 18" rims? and also does adjusting the torsion bars for a lower front end soften or sloppy up the handling? thanks for the help guys, it is appreciated.
