well being a 4x4..3" body 4" superlift..will fit you 35s

get glass fenders and bed panels and you got your 38s..

the RCD lift(6") and 3" body 9" total you might be able to fit 37s with minor rubbing

Im pretty sure just about everyone on here who hears 01 4x4 knows you have torsion bars.

Hell If I hear Edge, or 4x4 I already know you have torsion bars. I think 95% of the members on the forum have torsion bars lol.

edit: Im not trying to sound like a smartass, just basically letting you know that these guys on this forum know their stuff and know there ways around it and what you can do with different lifts to achieve the lift and tire combo and stance you want.

 

No, you asked what it would take and they just told you. If it were that easy, there would be a lot more people running aorund with 38's

you need about 2-3 G's in your pocket to run 37's 38's safely without blowing up your transmission or rearend

4x4 lift kits kits run on average 1500 + wheels and tires+ gears+ Body Lift + glass Fenders I know I'm forgetting stuff

 

Just strait axle it cause itll cost you just as much to get your 4x4 to run 38's

but if you dont have the skilz to do a solid axle in the front then..

with a Superlift Suspension and 3" body lift. you can fit 37" tires.

Do you have a stepside? if so it will definatly fit.

Ive seen 2 different Fleetside rangers one with 37x12.5x15s on 15x8s and another with 39.5x15x15 on 15x12s. they will fit. but you will run the chance of rubbing.

and when you do that i hope you plan to regear.
the front is a Standard Rotation D35 and can fit up to 4.88s.
You more than likely have the 8.8 in the rear. so you will need 4.88s with 37s or larger.

that will atleast cost you 500 in parts just for gears.

now any decent tire over a 35 is atleast 300-400 each. so that is another 1200, and say 500 for wheels.

plus 1500 for the superlift, and 400 for the superlift driveshaft. which will be needed.

then if you dont already have it i would recommend a programmer to keep you speedo correct. which is 375$

so

$1500 - lift
+$500 - wheels
+$500 - gears
+$1200 - tires
+$400 - drivesaft
+$375 - programmer
-------------
$4475 as a rough cost.

If you crank your t-bars all the way up and AAL with a body lift you can fit 35s with some trimming required. I have done it and thats what i am running now.

However I do not suggest you or anybody else do this. With the t-bars cranked all the way up it rides like crap on and off-road. At first i liked how it road but after driving other peoples truck with different setups I am not happy with my setup anymore. I am happy with the fact that I got through some places where other got stuck. But the same can be said by other about me.

I got a super deal and a half on the tires so I did what I did and I had some fun with my truck for the last year i have had it like this.

If you plan on getting a suspension lift in the next year, go for it. Body lifts are cheap, you can go buy the tires now and be set. But I would not leave it that way, i would get a real lift later. Which is exactly what i was planning anyway.

 

That photo of the ranger with 39s is real.But i would not do what he did,i spoke to the builder of that truck.And he said,he took two superlift kits,and stacked them on top of each other. eeeek

What he said. Buy a suspension lift. I have a body lift and yeah i can run bigger tires but i cant wait for the suspension lift so i can raise my frame up higher.
