okay spring spacer question

I bought a pair the other day from JCW and you're supposed to be able to just jack up the truck and twist them into the coil, but my coils don't stretch enough to twist them in. My family comes home tomorrow, and id like to get them in before they come back so maybe they won't notice. Any way to macguyver them in? I can almost squuze them in but I can't get more than maybe an inch. Any way to make the coil stretch just a littlt bit more? Help fast is much appreciated

Go to Harbor Freight.
Buy "Coil Spring Compressors".
Use per instructions.
Enjoy.

DO NOT USE THOSE TWIST-IN SPACERS! Buy some poly spacers or some leveling springs...

What's wrong with the twist ins? Seem solid to me, and the only driving I do is on some smooth roads back and forth to work and school, do they fail? Fall out? What?

Yes. Often.
You want spacers that go underneath the whole spring.

i think there may be an error in communication here

The spacers I bought can be instaled above or below the spring as well as being "twisted in", they look like this:

Not like these:

Universal Twist In Spring & Coil Spacer, Booster

Sorry, they look like this:

They're made to go above or inside the coil, I thought inside would be easiest, just a tire-off deal, but I guess I gotta pull the coil out and everything. I only need another inch or so to squeeze them in, would disconnecting the sway bar give me enough maybe? And I don't need to worry about an alignment after, I get free ones so that's nothin.

I would recommend putting them under the springs. So you'll have to remove the shock and spring. Spring compressor makes the job a little safer too.

I wouldn't put them under the springs... the LCA has a tab that the spring has to catch on in order to jack the LCA back up to put everything back together, without the spring in that tab the spring just flops around and might fly out.

The easiest way would be to jack the truck up put it on jackstands put a jack under the LCA and jack pressure on it, unhook the UCA from the spindle and drop the LCA and spindle down and pull the spring, put the spacer on top and put the spring back in jack up the LCA and reattach the UCA to the spindle.

I wouldn't recommend doing it by yourself... then again I say that every time something involves jacking a truck up. Even if the someone who is there doesn't have any idea whats going on at least they can call for help if something does go wrong.
