That's really odd. I posted an update Monday, but it's not showing up.
At any rate, I was unable to get in touch with the guy making the prototypes last week because he was on vacation, but I talked to him today and they're pretty much finished and I should be picking them up this weekend.

I already have my shocks and springs, but I need to pick up the hardware, which I'll do when I pick up the brackets.
I'm not 100% sure on the final price. I had a couple of revisions on the design since I got my original quote from the shop that will make the production units. Once I get the prototypes tested, I'll get a final quote, price the hardware, and post it up. Don't worry about delivery time, as the shop I use for production has shown to be more reliable for delivery time. When the time comes to take orders on these, I will be able to provide a fairly accurate ship date.

My truck is stock. I just started posting here two days ago so haven't done much signature work...
I'm still in the beginning stages of gathering the right parts to complete the swap.
I see brackets as being the hardest part to source as Nobody is making them.

ya, the brackets are a pita. Take a look at the pics of my truck. If you do decide to do the swap, dnt cut corners. My swap probably cost me around 1500 but I love it. There is a great deal of fab work in doing the swap right also.
I know the standard Fox 6.5" travel coilover works on a 'Superlifted' truck...I have it confirmed in a PM from a member that has done it.
Knowing this info, I purchased the 5" travel Fox brand coil-over for my stock height truck...but I have been slacking and haven't put anything together yet.
Anyway...I didn't mean to jack the thread...seems to mainly be about the brackets.

Just double checked and yes the 5" version should be the closest option.
I got two quotes for the brackets today. One shop wanted $200 and the second wanted $365!! And the second quote was without welding them together!
At around $140 to $180 would be nice for the set. I'm sure hardware will be pricey though.

Plus to agree with what was mentioned earlier, you’re probably going to end up over $1,000 (I know I am well over that!) by the time you add in all the other items (coil-overs, spanner wrenches, springs, limit straps, hardware, etc.).
Hell, just my Fox coil-overs w/ the long rod ends were $560 and the Eibach springs were another $130, spanner wrenches about $50, the Beard limit straps & clevis mounting hardware was $85. Granted, I got the chrome “upgrade” on my coil-overs so that added some cash…and I prefer the “higher end” products, but no matter what, you’re still talking a fair amount of cash by the time you add everything up.
Basically, I’m thinking $200 isn’t a bad price when it comes to a “custom” bracket setup. I ended up paying a little more that than to get one of the last remaining RCD bracket setup’s when it popped up in the classifieds here last year.
I'm all for saving some cash...but once you step back and look at the big picture of this project, $30-$40 hopfully isn't the deal breaker. If it is.....this might not be mod they want to look into at the moment.

Top and bottom brackets, Side Support Plates for the Spring Towers, Support Rods and Brackets ?
The $365 isn’t too far off for a complete set of brackets, less rods for the 4x4.
DON’T FORGET THE SIDE PLATES FOR THE EXISTING SPRING MOUNTS, THAT IS IF YOU ARE EVEN USING THEM, the spring towers need a little extra support.
Pics of the Spring Tower Supports welded in place - these are a must do...

Cranking T-Bars will result in a stiffer ride.
I know, it is a truck but the Ranger rides bad enough as it is no sense in making it worse.
There are a lot of little parts that are needed for spacing, support and fitment that you should get a list together then get the parts THEN do the install.

It's not just a simple bolt-on adventure or a fact that you ONLY need these brackets to make it happen...much more to it.

Sure $140 to $180 would be great, but for a custom set of brackets, I wouldn't think $200 is that far off when it comes to a "one off" set...I bet it would be different if they were doing a complete production run of them (like ORW used too)

I am well aware of the price range that this can work its way up to. Especially when mistakes are made through poor planning. A.k.a the reason I have not yet purchased anything. This is not my first car/truck mod.
A list of parts and sizes would be awesome. Seems like there are lots of guys with experience in this swap. Can someone put together a general checklist?
As far as a general checklist.....I have mentioned a 14+ page thread a few times that really has alot of good information on it. I bet if you ask a specific question in that thread (since this thread was started about the brackets specifically) someone will answer it for you. I have also asked the shop that will make the production units if they are willing to do a prototype in order to get the ball rolling. They are willing, so I have send them the latest revision of the drawings, and I'm waiting to hear when they can get the parts to me. This has gone way longer than I ever expected, but I hope to have something in my hands soon, so that I can post pics and get a GP rolling on them.

Just wanted to add: I will make this as complete as possible, save the springs and shocks themselves. This will mean spacers and hardware necessary for the installation. Once I've installed the prototype set, I'll price everything out as a kit. Hopefully my guy comes through. I've never waited this long for anything from him.
