Coilover Brackets by ME00stepside (NO LONGER AVAILABLE AS OF 7/23/2021)
At $325 I'd be looking for a new fabrication shop. Get that price down and your customer base growing. There is an online fabricator bid service that I could probably have these made for less than half that price, provided I had the drawing files. J/S
Guys, I do still make these, but I just got word from the fabricator that my cost is going up a little, so here is the latest pricing:
Pricing:
$325 shipped to the US
$360 shipped to Canada
Kit includes:
4 brackets (2 upper, 2 lower)
4 gussets to reinforce shock tower
2 shock tower spacers for upper mounts
8 rod end spacers (for 1/2" wide rod ends--like Fox)
All hardware to install--grade 8 zinc plated
What else you will need:
2 coilover shocks
2 coil springs
2 limit straps and brackets (do NOT skip these!)
What you may need:
Bump stops if you are lifting your truck at the same time, but if you already have a Superlift, or if you are remaining at stock height, you can reuse what you have. You simply need to trim back the bracket on the frame where the bump stop mounts, so that the coilover will clear it. You then redrill a hole in the remaining part of the bracket and mount the bump stop further in. Depending on your bumpstop, you may want to have a tab welded onto your LCA to give you a flatter area for the bump stop to contact. I would suggest moving the bump stop before you have the gussets welded, so you can have this done at the same time.
To order:
1. Send payment to sbeau1 (at) metrocast (dot) net.
.......include in your instructions that it's for Ranger coilover brackets, and your R-F user name
2. Post in this thread that you've sent payment.
3. check in on the thread for updates.
4. Post pics of your install!
Email is always the best method to get in touch with me. I don't come on here very often, and usually when I do, I find a message that is at least a few weeks old.
Thanks to all of you guys for the support in making these. I'm happy to be able to offer something to the RBV community.

Here is the sellers information
Has anyone run 12" springs on the stock height ranger? I searched through the forum, and see a handful of people talking about 12" springs, but I haven't seen it on the stock height, just the SL trucks. My preload put the nut behind the a-arm, and I'd like to crank a bit more, but can't get the spanner on anymore.

Hi my kid and I put in a set of 8" travel coil overs....spring was 12-13 inch we copped off the tops of the existing top mounts and extended them 4 inchs higher..so the over all height only lifted 4 inches.."this is what we wanted"..sway bars gone torsion spring gone....with 31 inch bf's what a fun ride...she rolls over tracks and makes your stomach drop . we are about to replace the rear spring mounts and ind install some fox smoothies back there..then we see how she rolls. i can be more descriptive if you would like to know more..i posted some pics.
BRAND new to forums btw. I was just wondering if these brackets are still available to buy. Im tired of the terrible ride quality from cranked tbars and am trying to stay leveled and not lifted.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
ME00stepside is the man you seek. he makes the bracket package for the fox coil over conversion.. i bought his set up, it was very well made,i would recommend them.
How ever we went with some crazy King Coil set up. so we modified ME00's brackets to work with our set up. At the end of the day we chopped off tops of old shock tower tops and bolted and welded in supports to raise the tower by 4 inches. ME00's brackets are the foundation of our modification. so the truck sits about 4 inch higher up front. that leaves good room for 31's and cog didn't get crazy. we can corner really hard. Ya know i still cant get over the feel of this set up ...to us worth ever penny. but i think the same came be achieve at a fraction of the price. talk to the guys that did the fox swap bet they are really pleased as well.

I'm interested in this conversion as well. My superlift kit is en route, and after I get wrenching my plan is to fab these brackets from a blueprint I found on another forum from 1/4" steel. If all goes successfully, I'll consider making extra if there is still interest out there.
I actually have a couple of kits ready to go. FCFS
I'm not in here a lot these days, and I don't seem to be getting the notifications all the time.
The customer base is declining because these trucks are now 8 years out of production. I could definitely get the price down if I were to quote it out for larger runs, but I would sit on that inventory too long.
9 years ago I did a group purchase, when the trucks were still in production, and I got them considerably cheaper. It took me months to sell 20 sets. It's now a niche market. Cheap fabricated custom parts isn't going to happen.
coilover
I have gone a different route so i have my new coilover brackets still in the box up for sale .

Just reposting for a slight shipping cost increase to Canada, and also to let you guys know I'm still around!

Note: these are made to order. I place the order with the shop when I receive payment. There are 3 different steps involved, so please be patient once you have ordered: First the main shop cuts all of the pieces, and makes the spacers. Second, the welder assembles them. Third, they are sent to the powder coat shop for finishing. Each step typically runs anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks. During this time, I make sure that I have the hardware I need, so that when I get them back from powder coat, I can simply box them up and ship them out. Right now, the average turn around time is about 5 weeks, but I tell everyone 4-6 weeks to be safe.

What Kind of Springs and shocks should I get, I only plan on keeping the stock height for now maybe just leveled with the rear at most. What spring/shock dimensions are there? I plan on doing this to my 99 but want to make sure i'm not opening a can of worms when i do this only because these parts are getting old and may be hard to find, I want to be able to find all this stuff so I can do this to!!!
