SWEET!!
It was like this when I bought it and I can't believe people drive their trucks like this. Are you saying it will ride like **** at this same height even with coils? That makes sense. To keep the same "lift" I would need to use lift spindles in my case correct?
ME00Stepside PM coming your way.

since there are sooo many pages i figured id just ask my question here lol
i seriously wnt to do this conversion, but im curious wht kind of lift can i expect? im double lifted with the superlift right now but had to decrank my bars quite a bit to take the angle off my cvs... and the ride was absolutely brutal as we all know with maxxed bars.
would these coilovers allow me to get the full 4" back like id have with maxed bars or wht can i expect? I know the coilovers too will settle a bit but im looking to get a little more height back!

The other thing to keep in mind with coilovers is that cranking them up too high with a factory suspension will bring the upper control arms very close to the coils. There's not a lot of room in there. I've got mine set at the equivalent hight of a full TB crank, which is about 3" higher than stock for a 98-07 truck. It's as high as you want to go. The difference between this and having the actual cranked TBs is the quality of the ride. It won't save your CV joints any more, but it will ride better (also depending on coil selection), and might not beat up your ball joints quite as much, but don't count on it. This conversion is all about ride quality, nothing else. Ride height possibilities are no different than a stock TB setup.

Okay I just read all 31 pages of this thread and I'm "ready" to do this today. I sent you a PM but I wanted to post up in here as well to try and get some feedback from owners of this kit.
First, correct me if I'm wrong: I will need the following to make this coilover conversion happen:
1 - Kit from ME00 (which includes Brackets, Gussets, Hardware, Spacers)
2 - Fox 2.0 Coilovers (Poly Performance JEEP/TRUCK & BUGGY-::-Shocks & Accessories-::-Shocks-::-Fox Racing Shox-::-Fox 2.0"-::-Fox 2.0 Coilover Emulsion Shock, 5/8" Shaft - 4X4 Off-Road Parts, JK Synergy Suspension Systems, Fox Racing Shox, Beard, CNC Brakes, Johnny Joints) in the FOX-980-02-000-A flavor?
3 - Some Springs to go with the Coilovers - I was thinking 650-750lbs (will figure this out in more detail when other concerns about this adventure are addressed)
4 - ORW Limiting Strap?? - Off Road Warehouse - Racing Parts Suspension Limit Straps ORW Suspension Limit Strap I'm assuming this will work? What size?
Am I missing anything?!
Now if I were to order all of the above parts and show up at my local Truck Lifting shop (locally referred to as "Truckin Up") and ask them to install it, would they be able to do it? Does the kit come with instructions that I could hand to the guy at the shop and then let them take it from there? If there were instructions then I could just take them to the shop and ask them myself but I haven't been able to find any.
Thanks for the help and thanks a million to ME00 for building this kit. I've wanted to get my truck on coilovers for years now...

Yep - that length travel for a stock setup is what you're after - The finish option of basic zinc/cadmium (980-02-000-A) vs. upgraded chrome (980-04-000-A) is a 'users choice'.
However, don't forget the long rod ends - aka extended eyelets (part #213-01-238-A) I mention here: https://www.ranger-forums.com/suspen...1/#post1905629
You still have valving to deal with on the CO's - I'm not sure how Poly Performance handles that, but I've stated in this thread a few times what you should expect out of a real dealer in regards to valving these Fox coilovers.
Overall, you have the major components down...and with these brackets being produced now - it's really just a basic & standard install.

Poly Performance JEEP/TRUCK & BUGGY :: Shocks & Accessories :: Shock Parts :: Fox Shock Parts :: 2.0" Coilover :: Fox 2.0 Coilover Shock Eyelet - 4X4 Off-Road Parts, JK Synergy Suspension Systems, Fox Racing Shox, Beard, CNC Brakes, Johnny Joints®, C
wouldnt it need to be FOX-213-01-238-A thats the one that has 3.75" center to eye which I think I saw that earlier in the thread. Is this the one I need?

Now keep in mind, I didn't use the generic online 'shopping cart' - I actually called and talked with humans. For something as customizable as Fox coilovers are - I think that's the best way since the valving on these can completely change how the coilover performs.
He asked me all sorts of questions about how I would use the truck so he could setup the valving correctly. Sonny (the owner) is a great person to deal with - Google them and you will see nothing but great feedback from the offroad & race community.

OK guys, I do plan on doing another run of these, since I've been getting more inquiries. If you want to start a list, it looks like a late September run will be possible (I've got orders in on other projects with the shop right now, and those should all be done by then).
I'll see about putting some kind of basic instructions together. The how-to thread appears to be gone now that the ORW forum is gone. It would have been nice if the thread had just been moved to the DIY/How-To section.

I need to go talk to my local shop about installing the kit and getting the custom valved coilovers. If all goes as planned I will be on that September list. I'll probably run to the shop tomorrow
P.S. - just out of curiosity, has there ever been a catastrophic failure with a coilover conversin on a ranger? It would be safe to take on the interstate... Right?

I never have heard of any problems - There shouldn't be any issues especially if you stick to a time tested quality coilover manufacturer.
Like anything, you just have to maintain & service your vehicle...

All of these brackets are based off the original RCD lift kit that performed the coilover conversion as part of their once commercially available mass-produced suspension kit.

Edit: okay so I emailed Fox and he said if I get my shocks from an authorized Fox retailer I can get them valved however I like. I went on to ask what he would recommend for my truck and I mentioned I want ride quality over off road performance and that I would be on the road 90% of the time. He recommended 35/70. 35 being a very soft compression and 70 being "not to much rebound". I've heard 70/50 and 70/65 around here. Sounds like people are gettin stiffer coilovers than I might want but maybe there planning on doing some serious offroading.
