Coilovers

Saw a couple videos where a guy installed front and rear coilovers in his Mustang, and was wondering about maybe a set for my Ranger, seeing how easy they are to install.

Any particular benifits from installing coilovers on a 4x4? I like the ride height where it is, mainly looking for better handling and whatnot.

Mainly you gain a little bit of ride quality. Its pricey though. Complete setup done right you are over $1k easy.

Lets ask this, do you have your torsion bars cranked at all?

I haven't touched 'em. I don't believe their cranked, although one of the previous owners was playing with some modifications before I got my hands on it.

So just what I have noticed over the years with my coil overs. If you have uncranked bars you probably won't notice a huge difference.

I ran 800 or 850# springs and they felt comparable to a maxed out torsion bar. I am currently down 700# springs and it feels almost like stock but with the added height.

Just my thoughts on it. The adjustability is great though.
