Big Difference with Monroe Sensatrac

Ive only had my truck about 3 weeks and noticed right away that the back was stuttering over the small bumps on the road and kind of skipping. Although I have less then 20,000 miles it is 6 years old. Ended up buying the Monroe Sensatrac shocks for all 4 corners from PepBoys and installed them myself. What a huge difference. Even though the rebound was still pretty good on the OEM shocks when tested off the truck, the ride is night and day with the Monroes.

Hope this helps anybody considering new shocks.

I just put a set of these on my '03 4x4 to replace the worn OEM shocks. They are pretty good replacements for everyday use and they have a buy 3 get one free going on right now at Pep Boys.

i had them too , but when i replace these shocks

i will be installing the monroe gas magnums this time

the sensatracs are good shocks for the street , not so good for off-road use though

slow speed absorbtion is not very good , but at speed they soak up anything you can throw at them

Are sensatracs better than oem shocks for slow speed absorption?

I have Boge Extreme shocks cuz the oem were worn, and Boge suck big time. The ride is stiff as hell.

Not sure but anything was better than my rusty and worn OEM shocks. I would imagine you'll get a ton of opinions on shocks and Im sure there are better ones (like Bilsteins) that many like to use but I didn't feel like spending the money.

sensatracs are spine jarring at slow speeds

it is that problem , that i decided the next shock i install will be using the GAS MAGNUMS

i have talked to several people who have them , and they say the magnums are very compfy ride

1 of the trucks is a f350 diesel dually the owner stated they ride like a cadillac

true! gas magnums are meant for on road vehicles only .
they were never manufactured to be off roaded

sensatrac`s are very good shocks , but their road manners corral them to sports cars and mini vans

there were awesome on my ranger at road speeds , but slow speed they were spine jarring

even worse in the deep cold winter
