Given the hours and even days that people have to spend combing separate forums to figure out the best way to lift their Ranger, I've written a guide that pulls it all together for those going the Superlift + Coilover + New Leafs route.

Some of you have already seen the first bits but I wanted to post this here as a new thread now that all the chapters are written.

I'm looking for any feedback you guys might have after having a look. I could definitely use more pictures for the installation parts.

One idea I was toying with is if anyone not too far from Toronto is planning on doing this for their truck, I can bring some tools and come to help out; I'd also bring a good camera so I can photograph each step properly this time.

Just read through all of the write up and I have to say what a great job you did with it! I will definitely be referring back to it in the future as I plan to do pretty much the same set-up on my truck!

I have a Brake Line question...I understand that I should get the Dorman H38894 Hydraulic Brake Hoses, but do I still need the SuperLift BrakeHose Relocation Bracket?? I'm going with a Coilover/SuperLift off the bat and just ordering the parts I need from SuperLift. Thanks.

You won't be using the front brake hose relocation brackets with the coilovers and longer hoses. The front brake hose lowering brackets don't fit with the coilovers in place, hence the longer hoses.

But you will need one rear brake hose relocation bracket if you're lifting the back. (It's a different part that came with my Superlift kit.)

Thanks...I'm pretty much mimmicking your build and I appreciate what you have done here. I'm only buying the parts and pieces I need from SuperLift...making the Sway Bars so don't need those, no brake hose bracket in the front, etc.

Unless you're buying used - I would assume it will be pricey to buy the parts needed à la carte style from them.

You end up needing 90% (+/-) of the front kit (100% of the 'expensive' parts) & the rear of the Superlift kit cant be worth much (still need to 'lift' it somehow anyway).

I was quoted by Superlift around $1000 for everything minus the shocks and rear lift parts. But I got a brand new set of Knuckles from another member for cheap, I'm making my own Sway Bars which saves another $140, no Brake bracket needed, no TBar pieces, etc. Buy the time I'm done I will only be paying around $600 for the parts I need from SuperLift. If I bought the whole K358 kit for $1400 it wouldn't be worth it and I wouldn't get my money back from reselling the parts I don't need.

Do you know the part number for the rear one?

Yeah, you finding those knuckles would be the main reason. They aren't cheap.

That along with you building parts yourself helps.

Apples to apples it wouldn't be cost effective. People have gone tried to go down that path years ago.

Must have gone down a lot - it used to run damn near the same for the 2 front component boxes as it did for the master kit. Plus, Superlift never used to sell the parts & pieces separately to anyone.

They must know the clock is ticking on these Rangers & want to clean house....

Camber bolts and washers
 

Pierre in your great write up you have the following,"The Superlift kit comes with camber washers that won't work if you don't have flat-edged bolts, which they don't provide in the kit. If you don't buy this, you'll need an angle grinder to flatten the edge of your stock bolts yourself".

My question is do I need the washers from SuperLift or do they come in the Ingalls kit as well? In other words do I need both the superlift camber washers and the Ingalls kit? Thanks
