I drive a twisty two-lane every day, and just recently I've started getting a lot of squeal from the front right tire. There isn't a peep on straightaways, but it really kicks in on both left and right hard sweepers where it never seemed to happen much before.

I'm thinking it may be something suspension-related since the air pressure is good and it happens the same even when I swapped it out with the spare. I think the only factor that changed recently was removing the 250 lbs of sand I had in the bed to help with winter traction.

Any thoughts?

 

Is the tire wearing correctly? check the tread depth in the middle and sides of the contact patch.

 

maybe you are driving faster than you used to
try slowing down???????

 

Happens to me too. Your probably just turning to sharp or fast.

 

I have performance street tires, and if I turn sharp enough while going fast enough, they will squeel loudly.

 

i have wrangler mud terrains and if im at a stop sign on a hill and im turing it will squeel and id be going like 4 mph. its annoying. im just waiting on a cop to be behind me and that happens.

 

How old are the tires that are on you truck, some tires get harder with age.
