Easiest way to take out "rake"

What would you guys say is the easiest way to take out the "rake" I believe it's called where the rear end is higher than the front. I'm not going to be hauling much so I'm not really worried out it getting real low in the back.

you have coils in the front i think so either coil spacers (which suck) or imo i would get different coils.

You have two options.....lift the front or lower the rear.

Just throw some lowering springs on and get an explorer axle and keep it spring under!

I made coil spacers for mine, leveled it out perfect and didnt cost me anything, taking machining classes paid off for me...but if u want to lower it, get drop coils and flip the shackles, or just flip the shackels, might level it out, all depends on how soft the springs already are...

Flip the shackles, that should level it out.

I was hoping to lower the rear as I'm not really wanting to sacrifice more performance from a taller truck that looked funny with small tires.

So you say I have to flip the shackles?

Flipping the shackles is any easy way to do it, doesn't cost anything but time.

Blocks? I did some reading on doing the shackle/hanger flip and it doesn't look too bad. Just have to figure out what size hardware I'll need, so please share if you know.

get a shovel, dig up some dirt and throw it in the back. that will get rid of the rake.

think i used 1 1/2 x 3/8 grade 8 bolts and lock washers...not real sure, i will go look in my shop for the extra bolts i had and make sure but that sounds right...hardest part is grinding the rivet heads off, there are 6 of them and one side already has 2 bolts in it, or least mine did so i was happy, and i have pulled trailors behind mine with the bolts and never had a problem, so dont worry about them not being strong enough, i was worried when i first did it...

its not flipping shackles, its flipping the hangers on the frame which the shackles attach to.

Youll get aboit a 2 inch drop or so and wont have any issues.

blocks go between the axle and leaf spring. If you have them then take them out.

Nope no blocks. That was the first thing I looked for when I wanted to lower it.

Just flip the rear hangers its like 10 bucks in hardware and an hour or 2 of work depending on how rusted your frame is. You truck will drop 2 inches and there will be no ill effect in pinion angle to affect it and you will not lose any hauling capability.
