Ok i need some help here on the Superlift kit please..

Gettin a bit confused. Ive called around to shops and their quoting me 3g's for this kit.. it apparently comes with all the stuff for lifting the front of the truck but apparetly for the rear lift it comes with leafs instead of blocks, i didnt know there was a difference with these kits?

I was looking at superlifts website, and checked out the only kit i could see for my truck and the part number was K358 for the entire kit. That shows blocks for the rear. I gave the same part number to a shop to look up and they say it includes LEAFS and shocks and the driveshaft in that same kit so im a little lost.

Basically, im wonderign this. Can i just order the kit to lift just the front only?? and if so does anybody have a part number for that? Im going to be doing my own lift for the rear probably.. doing an AAl and doing basically a "prekey" block swap, since my rear is already higher than my front anyway. I will be purchasing the driveshaft at a later date wheni have more money.... and its a front driveshaft anyways right? And i may sound like a n00b here but doesnt that only apply while 4x4ing to engage the front wheels?

A little help and part numbers with your lifts and what you did would be VERY VERY helpful right now. thanks!

Your drive shaft is always turning on any 00.5 and up 4x4 ranger. You have what is called a live axel setup, so your front CV's and front drive shaft is always turning.

The superlift kit puts your driveshaft at an increased angle, too much for the stock shaft. It puts alot of stress on it and it wears out prematurely. My buddy has an 08 Mazda with the superlift, and he got about 20,000 km out of the froint shaft. Once he put the superlift front shaft, he has put almost 100,000 km on it with no worries.

If it was me, I would just do a Chevy spring swap in the rear with your factoy blocks. This should net you the same overall lift.

Have you tried calling any shops on the mainland? It probably wont be worth it with the ferry though.

The information they gave you is wrong. You do not get leafs or front driveshaft with the entire kit. Yes, you can just buy the front components. You will need: SLF-9631 http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SLF-9631/ and SLF-9637 http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SLF-9637/.

Thanks KLC ur always a good help man. Are those FOR SURE 100% the right part numbers? It looks liek they are, i just checked them with the numbers on superlifts website and they look right. So thats good, i will do that for the front, and i also was researching and i saw you are running the skyjacker softride springs, how do you you lik them? I will be getting those as well for the rear... did you yank your stock block and your just running springs or is the block still in there? Also can i use my stock Ubolts or do they come with new ones? I want to make sure i have everything i need before i get too into purchasing stuff!!

thanks guys

Yes, I am positive those are the right part numbers. I love the Skyjacker leaf springs. I took out the stock block and added shackles instead. It would be best if you bought new ubolts. I recommend these: U Bolt, 5/8" x 2 3/4" x 10" [UB275] - $13.25
