^ Haha, I like to have fun every once and a while. The tie rod I think was already in not to good of shape when I bought the truck. The ball joint is probably my fault.

Wow, your about to have some fun. I just did mine Friday night, and I guess it wasnt that bad to replace everything, just time consuming.

Ok now I have a question to confirm. Since I have the 2wd, my ball joints I can press out correct? I have searched and found the answer but just want to confirm.

Can I just rent one of those ball joint pullers from like advance auto and take them out? I dont have to take the control arm off do I?

look at amazon, i saved $35 compared to checker for my 2 moog lower ball joints ($26/ea) and a moog tie rod ($26 already changed one).

They are noticeably heavier duty than the average replacements. Way i wheel it, i'll be using that!

I was just wondering if you think that is a good deal or not and if they will fit.

you need to spend some time on a auto parts store website. Compare part numbers from your truck to the explorer. if they're different, then no go...

The dude that has them works at a local repair shop. He said he would look into it tomorrow and see if they will work or not. He thinks so.

Just my 2cents, if it fits or not.. Thats too cheap for any kinda "quality" suspension component. if i were to cheap out on parts, it wouldn't be suspension or braking parts. I've been very happy with moog components in my past vehicles.

I looked at those parts in moog on checkers site, it's $555 for all that stuff. $100 to $555, somethin is interesting about that.

find out the brand!

Well, I hardly ever go wheeling so I do not plan on pounding on these parts. Last time I ever played was last summer and it was hardly anything.

Got the parts all together tonight. Got a new lower and upper ball joint for the driver's side, two outer tie rod ends, and new brake pads for the front.

Ok so I started working on the driver's side. Got the lower off no problem. Starting working on the upper ball joint. The rod actually went up through the top of the ball joint. I took the upper control arm off and it seems like I have the kind where the ball joint is part of it. So, gonna get a new one tomorrow. No big deal, just more money.
