Doing a spindle lift
Ok so, Im hoping to do my spindle lift this weekend. What I need to know is what tools I will need, and also labor time if it was me a nd a friend or two.
socket set, tie rod puller helped me with the tie rods and the ball joints, BFH could come in handy as well, get some grease for the bearings, new cotter pins if you didnt get any yet...ummthats all i can remember for now
How big of a BFH, will a sledge work?
for me all i needed was a hammer(hit the side of the spindle and the ball joint will pop out). a socket set, impact, and compressor. make sure you use new pins and some grease.
if i rememeber anything else ill add it but thats all i needed! |
I bought the Fabtech kit that came with everything. Can I get a tie rod puller at autozone?
Drew you comin to the house to do this?

i know i had to used a grinder to grind down the lip on my a-arms so i could get a full, smooth turning radius.
sockets, pliers for cotter pins, and a BFH and i just wacked the **** outta my spindle and it popped off.
