Icon6 Tie-Rod Help?

I have a question, My passenger side tie rod seems to be loose, giving my truck and incorrect toe-out. Is it possible to just tighten the tie-rod back up to fix the problem for the time being, until money allows to replace it? If so what are the best steps to do so?

Sorry but it needs replaced, when you tighten it your only drawing the taper part down more into the knuckle. the loosness is in the ball and socket part of the tierod end. Only fix is replace, but might help to grease it heavy and drive easy, but I recomend replace asap.

Depends on labor costs at the shop.

ahh, true. would it be better for me to buy the part in advance, or let the shop do everything.

If they let you buy it you could get it cheaper but most shops don't let you do that.
