Drop Shackles

I'm looking to put the Belltech 6400 drop shackles on my truck and am wondering if I need longer shocks or if the stock ones will work. Also, they will change the pinion angle if I recall, is it enough to worry about? I tried to search, but didn't find what I was looking for. Any help is appreciated!

I have the shackles but havent put them on yet so I'm expecting someone else to chime in. Stock shocks are fine. I know Griggs felt the need to put 2 degree shims to correct pinion angle but others have claimed a better pinion angle after install. It's not too much to worry about but just check it out after install. You can use shims or relocate your leaf perches as required.

I cant give you an exact number. Depends on your truck, the drive shaft(s), rear end, rear suspension, lift, etc. You can just eyeball it or use an angle finder once the shackles are installed.

Offer something constructive and tell me the error of my ways. I'd rather we get the correct information.

i put a set of shackles on mine, didn't ever think of it changing the pinion angle but you i don't think get enough lift out of em to change how the axle sits. i've had no problems with mine thus far. i wouldn't worry about it if you want my opinion
