easiest way to lift back end

I am looking to get back of truck up 2-3 inches from stock set up whats the esaiest way/ product or is there a swap in piece from another vehicle.

i'd say go with the belltech 6400 chevy drop shackels it lifts the truck up an inch or two and it only cost $50 look for them on the summit racing website

Blocks? Floor jack? Shackles?

Belltech shackles will probably get you around 1.5" of lift (I never measured mine but it was somewhere around there, maybe even 2". They won't hurt ride quality.
Longer blocks and u-bolts can be picked up, but your axle wrap will be even worse.
Swapping in Explorer leaf springs or Explorer Sport Trac springs should give you around 3" of lift. Search and you'll find some info on it.

AAL

2" block. possibly grab block and u bolts off a 4x4? shackle is easiest but only gives you 1.5"

I got 1.5" out of the Belltech 6400 shackles, I also got about 1.5" out of the Procomp Short Universal AAL, grand total of about 3" of lift in the back. Leveled my truck out with the 4" front lift.

belltech shackles worked for mine. gave me about 1.5"

i have a question. i want to get rid of the stock block. all i need to compensate for that is an AAL right?

Fx4wannabe01 05-28-2009 04:46 AM

I'd think you'd need more than just an AAL... Stock block for yours is 2.5"...i got 1.5" or so out of my short aal.

Ya know.. I've actually been thinking of dropping out the rear block and throwing in a drop shackle and AAL, or a Deaver leaf set - does anyone know the right combination to get it back to "stock" height off the 2.5" block being gone? Would love to get it feeling a bit more settled in back there; traction bars are fantastic... but being able to plant your rear end in any terrain is the best feeling ever ;)
