For some reason, the diff fluid didn't even smell that bad.... Probably all the water in it...when jey pulled the cover off all that came out at first was CLEAR water.

I should check the bnoneyards here for axles. My yards are basically ' unpicked '. I bought a body-totalled ranger with 105 miles on it because I wanted the torsion bars and some ' parts '.

They sold me the truck for 500$, I stripped what I wanted of of it ( Auto tranny and SOHC engine, witing harnesses, T-bars for griggs, Rack for someone else.. cant remember whom.. and the airbags for someone whom had an accident. ) then re-junked it on the spot.

I made money off of it without trying to, just wanted a new engine to have as a spare.. Would up selling it for 750$ and installing it for another 250$.

In my area, theres 4 ' universities '. Theres nothing but rich kids from out of state/overseas whom wreck newer vehicals and have mom/dad buy them a new one.

If someone could get me the years/vehicals where a D60 might reside, I will take a look this comming saturday when I make my rounds before the snow hits. MOST of the vehicals in these yards I hit are 1999+ there are some older vehicals, but they are usually crushed/sold for scrap.

D.

78-91 f350s had HP kingpin D60's
78-79 are worth the most since they have a longer short side tube making it easyer to work with.
92-98 f350s will have Balljoint d60's, which arent as popular.
Dodge dana60's arent used much because they use Unit bearings

Hey EdgeWannabe,

The junkyards around here don't have any 98+ vehicles. If you can get it for a good price I need the passenger side door latch. I don't know what it is called but it is the part inside the door that attaches to the lock, inner and outer door handles, and physically holds the door shut.

Thanks,

Marc

Got the pinion installed and the new ring gear/bearings installed tonight. Gotta adjust the backlash and throw in some pre-load shims and put it back together and she'll be done.

EDIT: o-ring for the 'yota box came in this morning. Jen is picking it up for me tomorrow .

It's sitting on Harbor freight 12 ton wheels and tires. lol.

I don't have revolvers, I have a home-made pivoting shackle.

Yomie (reggie) is next. Hp44 with extended radius arms.

Maybe finish the 88xj if he can buy all the parts I need to finish it before I move in January.
