Leaf Spring Question
OK Guys-so I was working under my truck the other day-getting ready to POR-15 the frame-and i got to looking at the rear leafs. What would happen if i pulled the overload(?) spring out of the spring pack? I'm thinking that this might be a way to "level thru subtraction" if the side effects wouldn't be too drastic. I'm getting ready to do a body lift, T-bars are already cranked and there's still too much rake for me. It actually sits about right when i have about 250 pounds in the bed for "wintwer weight" I have the upgraded, heavier-duty payload package, but I rarely use my truck for hauling loads. Any thoughts or recommendations or is this just a bad idea?
Thanks

I wouldn't take out the overload spring! I bought my truck and the PO removed the overload and my driver side springs are bent right in front of the axle. So needless to say I'm looking for a new set of rear springs. I'm not sure how many leafs you have now but mine was only the overload plus 2 others and no overload makes the rear end extremely soft and kinda sloppy.
