where can i find a bodylift how to ?
i'm set on doin a 1" body lift .
I tried to search but had no luck finding a post with instructions on the body lift installation . pics would be cool .
I understand the basics but i'm wonder a few things like how to lift the bed and cab to get bushing in there . how tight do i tighten the bolts ?
do any of you know of an old post or something ?

i read the install instructions on performance accessories for the 3 inch kit i assume its about the same for a 1 inch lift . only have a couple questions now.
Do i have to use some loctight on the threads of the bolts and will that make it impossible to remove them later if i wanna go back to stock ?
how tight do i tighten the bolts . I don't have a torque wrench .. says check factory specs ...
can't i just re- use the washers that are on there from the factory ? the bed was torx bolts ... should i use those style or just a regular bolt ..
do i need to disconnect the battery or remove airbag fuse like it says ?
do i need to remove front bumper ?

http://www.therangerstation.com/tech..._BodyLift.html
so here is the tech . I read it all and understand it . ...
since this is a 1 inch lift do i have to disconnet all the stuff they are talking about ?
they disconnect the bumper , the tow hooks , the ground wires , a couple wire looms , the intake tube ,the radiator , rear bumper , break lines maybe there was a few more.
i mean i figure i should remove break lines from the clips , maybe disconnect intake tube and watch out for anything pinching .
?
what things do i have to disconnect before i can jack it up if its only a 1 inch lift ? ?
do they sell the shifter extension seperately , or is there like a universal shifter i could get that is taller ? My shifter is already too low and too far away . if it was 2 inches higher after the lift instead of an inch lower that would be groovey i think . or an aftermarket stick thats bent back at the top . i sit so far back i have to lean forward to hit 5th gear .

a 1 inch lift i doubt youd need to re do the electronics, Just be very cautious when jacking up on them. the bumpers are only removed so the relocating brackets can be instaled to raise them up the 3 inches. Your brake lines should be fine. Just be very cautions when your jacking up your body that your not putting strain on anything. Im not sure if youll have to do anything with your radiator, You might have to get longer hoses.

I looked for the shift lever extension i only see this one
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/83-02...QQcmdZViewItem
it only goes to 2002 ... does this one work on the 05 ... i don't see any like universal shifter when i tried to google it , especialy not anything that is curved back.

Looks like a 3 inch one. Are you making your own kit? Most should come with directions. What I would suggest is taking your shifter out of the transmission, cutting it down low, Using a one inch block of steel and welding it in your shifter. It all gets covered by your shift boot anyways.
