Finally ordering a lift kit !

http://4wheelparts.com/4wp/products/...RO&expand=sub2

Definetly want to order that one, anyone know if I can run 33's without MUCH rubbing.

97 and 86-88 Ranger 2wd 5"/3.5" Lift Includes; Radius Arm Drop Brackets, Axle Pivot Drop Brackets, Sway Bar Extensions, Brake Line Kit, Coil Springs, Rear Block Kit, Pitman Arm, 4 ES3000 Shocks
EXPK4122B

Finally got my job situation fixed and been saving extra money forever now so I can get the tires/rims/kit all together.

Also do the put the kit on for free ? I heard the place was in orlando, and if I went there they would do it.

Thanks for answering all my questiongs :)

Nate97Ranger 02-22-2006 04:44 PM

33.12.50 with 15.10 rims I meant to add.

Should I save and maybe add a body lift ?

rangererv 02-22-2006 05:18 PM

a 5 inch lift?
Yes, you will clear 33's fine.

You can fit 33x12.5 on a 15x10 with only 3 inches of lift...you will be fine.

Nate97Ranger 02-22-2006 05:40 PM

Sweet just what I wanted to here. Will probably take an extra week before the order, have to pick up a new alternator along with a driver side mirror.

Hopefully Ill pictures that are good this time around, not of me rolling over or of being stuck in mud hahahah.

Nate97Ranger 02-22-2006 05:43 PM

Also is that everything I need in the kit, other then going to get the truck allined ?

zabeard 02-22-2006 06:01 PM

i would imagine everyhting comes with it but idk. and you will prolly fit those tires but it will be tight.

Pinecone 02-22-2006 06:04 PM

Everyone forgets the older Rangers sit alot lower than the 4x4's and Edge's we have now. Those tires may be a lil tight like Zach said.

Nate97Ranger 02-22-2006 07:13 PM

Yea im a XLT 4x2.

How tight do you think ? Like just rub on full turns like u turns

zabeard 02-22-2006 07:17 PM

rear will prolly rub. you will have to talk to zach(redneckstone) he would know if its gonna rub, he some how fit 32s with a coil spacer and nothing else. lol

Nate97Ranger 02-22-2006 07:21 PM

Ahhh, probably shoot him a PM, he's def my fav 3rd gen truck hahah.

zabeard 02-22-2006 07:27 PM

if he doesnt answer you let me know. ill give him hell.

BliZZarDx23 02-22-2006 07:36 PM

I must say Zach, you have the prettiest truck on this site ;)

Yes..it will be a very tight fit for your truck, I have a 99 4x4 and I put a 3inch body lift and fit 33s with no rubbing...as close as it comes...I think that, *IF AT ALL*...it will only rub if you crank the wheel as hard as you can since yours is just a little lower (4x2)

zabeard 02-22-2006 07:42 PM

its extreemly difficult to compare to our trucks, his truck is a whole different level. if he had 15x8 i bet it could be done but 15x10s might be pushing it.

thanks for the compliment chris.

Nate97Ranger 02-22-2006 07:45 PM

haha damn, Really want the 12.50's otherwise ill go with with the 8's with 10.50 tires.

zabeard 02-22-2006 07:49 PM

8s and 12.50 will work fine. as far as wheels and tires in general.

i would try and se if it will work but like i said i dont know. zach might.

Nate97Ranger 02-22-2006 08:01 PM

Went ahead and shot Zach a pm.

TrailRateThisFx4 02-22-2006 09:31 PM

it should work out, and look sweet

Nate97Ranger 02-22-2006 09:44 PM

Hope so, I would hate to get the lift and then the rims/tires rub to much.

I thought you weren't soppose to go more then 2 inches for tires/rims ?

going with 15x8 would be ok with 12.50's ?

TireIron 02-22-2006 10:33 PM

you will fit the 33x12.5s on it with that lift yes. I would suggest useing a 15x8 rim though instead of the 15x10 rims. it will help keep the tire centered more, with the 15x10 rims it may be out a bit too wide and rub on the fenders or possibly the end of the bumper at turns or stuff. it also may not rub, but if it does then you could always just trim off what it rubs on. but with that lift you can fit 33x12.5s on a 15x8 rim on your 2wd definitly. if it was a 92 or older then id say no, but a 93-97 will definitly fit.

rangererv 02-22-2006 10:42 PM

guess i didnt realize they sit lower.

I do no that a 12.5 tire will fit on a 15x8 rime fine tho. I am running that myself. There is like a 1/2 inch on either side of the tire that doesnt touch the ground all the way on street driving, but to me im not worried about that. If you air the tires down low enough it should touch all the way, but i dont want to kill my mpg because of it.

Redneckstone 02-23-2006 07:03 AM

OK first thing first if you have a 98+ ranger and are giving advice in compairing to your truck STOP THAT CRAP NOW.... you must learn your truck suspension is NOTHING like our lovely 93-97. is a odd beast and is quite a biotch in fitting tires.....now that is sayed...lets move on

Nate it sounds like a good idear but dont go with a 15x10 get a 15x8. my concern is more the fender rubbing the bumper/valance rubbing can be fixed in like 10 min its easy but the fender thats a different story.

Erv i could smack you with just 3" of lift on a 93-97 is a complete pain to fit 33's your truck isnt like the 93-97. now you can fit them on a 15x8 with just a body lift and a leveling block its tight as hell but it will fit.

you can run a 33x12.5x15 on a 15x8 its acully the more perfered way of tire-rims with extream offroaders. not a 15x10.....

Nate97Ranger 02-23-2006 09:08 AM
